The Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established at Rivers Academy with a gift from the Fort Bliss Federal Credit Union, and with  permission from Stevie's mother, Martha Vaughan. This fund honors the memory of the internationally recognized musician, as well as the heart, warmth and sense of humor of the man behind the music.

It was his desire that his music be a healing catalyst for individuals who suffered from self-doubt, sickness, and/or emotional distress.  He was particularly interested in the support of children who aspire to study music, specifically in the areas of singing and guitar.

This fund will provide tuition assistance for eligible children to attend Rivers Academy.
